shadow photo

What I see in this photo is a shadow of a girl blowing a dandelion, and her hair and the dandelion seeds are blowing in the wind. She seems calm and there isnt much going on in the photo besides leaves and a shadow. The picture is sort of bright, yet it is in black and white drawing the viewers attention to the colored leaves on the ground. The image was taken in focus and i did this intentionally. Also, the shadow is very clear and precise. The image was taken outdoors because I thought of using natural light from the sun to create my shadows. This picture shows a girl making a wish, then blowing the dandelion kind of like how a person would blow out the candles on a birthday cake after making a wish. I believe this work is successful because it fulfilled the assignment and I ended up liking what I shot.

symbolism

In this photo, i see a women with batteries in her hand, and a guy holding a remote controller on the edge of the picture. She has a sad expression on her face and her body language, sitting down looking sort of depressed, shows that the women is unhappy. The image is in focus and was sharpened by her eyes to make the image look more intense. The color of the photo is almost black and white, but has a tint of color. I did this to give the picture more of a darker feeling to it. For symbolism, i chose to portray womens roles in society and how they are beaten down physically and emotionally by their husbands. This photo shows how the women is being controlled by her husband as if she is a battery operated doll. The reason she has the batteries in her hand is to show how she is tired of being controlled and is gaining confidence by removing the batteries from her arm herself. This photo was taken outdoors in front of the grass to give a different look to the picture. In my opinion, i achieved the goal of the assignment. However, i could have improved by having the objects in the photo not so spaced how making them harder to see. I would have to pick a main focus in a    

picture next time i photograph.

camera head

In the picture, i see a tourist around a beautiful background with trees, and she has a camera as a head. I dressed my model in this way to go with the camera head because tourists usually walk around with a camera. The tourist is in focus and i tried to make the camera focused as well, using photoshop since it wasnt so clear when i shot this photo. This was done accidentally. This photo is lightened an taken outdoors in front of some trees. I like how the colors are really bright because they stand out in the picture. Also, i softened the picture a bit so it looks nicer. I think the work is successful because i replaced the models head with an object without using photoshop, and i believe i did this well.

animal perspective

In this photo, i see a girl afraid of something on her arm. She has a frightened look on her face, and that is because the photo was taken in the point of view as a spider. That is why the vision is distorted because that is the way spider's see things. The image was first taken in focus, but after being photo shopped, it blurred the picture a bit. The image is light and taken outdoors next to plants because that is where spiders usually are. In my opinion, the work is successful becuase i did the assignment correctly and photoshopped the picture in a way that corresponds to the point of view of a spider.

aberance photo

I see three girls, two of them looking normal, and the one in the middle appears to be upside down. Her hair,shirt, and face are all flipped upwards towards the sky making the picture unusual. The image is in focus and this was done intentionally so you can see the detail in her face and that this picture is a departure from the ordinary (aberance). This image is balanced because there are two girls on either side. The image is taken outdoors in front of a plain wall and it is not light yet not to dark. The lighting is perfect for this shot because I wanted to make the three girls the same shade.  I believe this piece was successful because it fulfilled the assignment and im satisfied with the photo.

commercial shoot

In this picture, i see a girl and she's smiling at a bottle of lotion that's being advertised. The girl and the lotion are close up but the blurred trees are in the distance. This picture isnt balanced but it works with the theme and mood I was trying to create. The image is in focus, so the viewer can she the girls face and that she is satisfied with the product. The background is blurred and this was done intentionally so the viewer can focus more on the person and the bottle of lotion. The image is light and was taken outdoors using the soft light. Overall, i believe the photo was successful because I fulfilled the assignment well which was to do a commercial shoot. In my opinion, this shot worked out and I like it as the photographer.
