In the background I see a door and i also see diagonal bars on the side. In the center of the photo, a guy is sitting on steps smoking a cigarette. He has a weird expression on his face. Altogether, the composition of the picture is good because there are lines going horizontal, diagonal, and vertical. The image is slightly off focus, but it works because it gives the photo a softer tone. The photo is in black and white and I chose to take it outdoors on the stairs in front of a door. In my opinion, I think the photo was successful because I worked well with the model and tried to make him look as awkward as I can, which corresponds with the assignment given.
