In this photo, I see Jennifer having a sad and worried expression on her face and in her eyes. This photo was taken up close to emphasize the emotion she has. The image is in focus, and it is darker on one side to give the picture a deeper and darker meaning. I like how the shadow across her face makes the picture more intense. I chose to photograph Jen because her truth was exactly the expression captured on her face. Her truth is that she has a fear of her brother taking his life, and commiting suicide since he has attempted to before. In this situation, she is the one who feels responsible and talks him out of doing it. She has a very close relationship with her brother, and it scares her to have the thought in her mind of losing him. I believe this work was successful because I was able to capture her truth through the emotion she shows on her face.
